ATHENS, Ohio -- University Program Council is proud to present comedian Zach Galifianakis on Wednesday, May 21 at 8 p.m. in the Baker Center Ballroom. Galifianakis will display his very thoughtful monologues at the piano, and his self-deprecating humor.
Galifianakis has a wide array of professional experience includingappearances on Comedy Central, Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn and Late Show with David Letterman. He has also appeared in several movies including "Out Cold," "Below," "Corky Romano," "Bubble Boy" and "Heartbreakers." In addition, Galifianakis hosted "Late World with Zach on VH1" and had a reoccurring role on "Boston Common."
"We are thrilled to be able to respond to student demand and have Zach come to Ohio University this quarter," said Natalie Pariano, UPC special events co-chair. "His comedy is unique and entertaining and is guaranteed to provide a worthwhile experience."
Tickets are $2 for students and $3 for nonstudents and will be available at the Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium box office May 15 and 16 from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets will also be available in the lobby of Baker Center from noon to 2 p.m. May 19-21 and will be sold at the door the day of the performance, pending availability.
