ATHENS, Ohio -- WellWorks will host its annual wellness walk in honor of National Employee Health and Fitness Day. The event, called the "Finding the Keys to Wellness Walk," will offer a variety of information and activities centered on the six key aspects of wellness, including physical, social and spiritual.
Chair massages and blood pressure screenings are among the many things that will be made available to those who participate. Keys will also be given out to qualifying participants at different stopping points along the path, and the winning keys will be entered in a raffle for prizes such as WellWorks memberships, a paid day off work, gift certificates and more.
The walk will be held Wednesday, May 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. on the Hockhocking Adena Bike Path. It will be a two-mile walk, starting behind the Visitors Center and going to West Union Street and back. In case of rain, the event will be at the same time and place on May 28.
The walk will be open to all Ohio University faculty members, WellWorks members, community members and their families.
Don't miss this key opportunity to join WellWorks and your friends for a fun, healthy walk! Registration began May 7 and free t-shirts will be given to the first 100 registered participants.
