ATHENS, Ohio -- Perspectives on the war in Iraq will be shared during an interactive panel hosted by Ohio University's College of Communication on Monday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m.in the Baker University Center Ballroom. The panel, "Diverse Voices on the War in Iraq," incorporates this year's Communication Week theme "Communication Matters" and is moderated by WOUB News Director Tim Sharp.
Panelists include former Black Hawk pilot and West Point graduate Kate Karwan Burgess; Political Science Professor Michael Burton, specializing in election strategy and White House staffing; Associate Professor Bernhard Debatin, specializing in ethics; Scripps Howard Visiting Professional Bradley Martin; Assistant Professor Mary Rogus, specializing in television news and Major General Todd Stewart, director of Ohio State University's Program for International and Homeland Security.
Communication Week celebrates annually the six units within the College of Communication. Visual Communication, Communications Systems Management, Telecommunications, Journalism and Interpersonal Communication, respectively, each has one day during the week to design events that encourage student interaction with prominent industry leaders through discussions and panel sessions.
