ATHENS, Ohio -- In order to enhance the social scene at Ohio University, the Late Night Advisory Board, with the generous support of Pepsi, will be funding events for the spring quarter of 2003. To be considered for funding the event must be:
- Sponsored by a registered student organization
- Free and open to the entire student population of Ohio University
- Begin no earlier than 8 p.m. and end no earlier than midnight
- Occur on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday
- Substance free
- Occur before June 13, 2003
The advisory board has a limited amount of money to allot for late night programming and therefore proposals will be considered on a rolling basis beginning the week of April 14. Events serving large portions of the campus, serving a niche not typically filled or asking for smaller amounts of funding will have a greater likelihood of receiving funding from the advisory board.
To apply for funds, submit a brief, but detailed proposal answering the following questions:
- What, where, and when is the event?
- If the event is outside, where is your rain site or when is your alternate date?
- Who will the event/activities be open to?
- Who is the target population/audience of the event?
- If there is a fee or deposit required for participation, how much is it and is it refundable?
- Why is this event important to the campus?
- How much funding are you requesting?
Also include a detailed budget for the event. The budget should list all costs for the program. If any of the event will be funded by other sources (SAC, other student organizations, etc.) please list who you will be getting funding from and what items they will be funding. Also list any other sources you requested funding from.
Proposals should be submitted to:
- Late Night Advisory Board
- 204 Baker Center
- Athens, OH 45701
Proposal review will begin the week of April 14 and continue until all funding has been allocated.
