ATHENS, Ohio -- University Program Council is proud to announce that the CountingCrows will be performing at Ohio University. The biggest concert of the yearwill take place on April 11 at 8 p.m. in the Templeton-Blackburn AlumniMemorial Auditorium.
The Counting Crows formed in the San Francisco Bay area in 1989 and first hit itbig in 1994 with their hit single "Mr. Jones," from their first album "August andEverything After". They have went on to produce five albums total including themost recent critically acclaimed LP, "Hard Candy," which was released in 2002. Their current single, "Big Yellow Taxi," with Vanessa Carlton is featured on the"Two Weeks Notice" soundtrack.
"We feel really lucky to have such a phenomenal band play at OU," said SarahMann, UPC concerts co-chair. "They will definitely put on a great show."
Approximately 200 additional tickets for the concert will go on sale Monday,April 7 at noon at the Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium boxoffice. No lines can be formed before 8 a.m. Tickets for the event are $25 forstudents and $30 for non-students, with a two ticket maximum purchase per person.
