ATHENS, Ohio -- On Tuesday,March 18, Sandy Warren, the Employee of the Month for March was surprised with a visit from the Classified Senate Employee of the Month Committee with balloons and prizes. Warren works as an administrative coordinator in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and has worked for the university for 29 1/2 years. Jerrel Mitchell, associate dean of the Russ College of Engineering and Technology, and Janelle Baney, department administrator and Warren's supervisor, nominated her for this award.
Mitchell said, "Sandy is highly professional and dependable. Her work is always accurate and high quality." Baney added, "Sandy is committed to her position and shows exceptional qualities with ideas that are always in the best interest of the school. She is punctual, precise and meticulous in regard to her responsibilities."
Warren was previously awarded the PSI Secretary of the Month Award. When asked, "What three words best describe you?" she replied, "pleasant, efficient and dependable."

The Classified Employee of the Month award is to recognize classified employees of Ohio University who are setting the standards for excellence and innovation which have the greatest impact on the university by promoting unity, community, continuity and visibility.
