ATHENS, Ohio -- Community and Professional Programs will sponsor the popular, "Grants and How to Get Them" workshop on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Grover Center.
This informative one-day seminar is ideal for those with little or no experience in grant writing. It will take you step-by-step through proven techniques for identifying and contacting potential sources of funding, developing and submitting proposals and following up on your requests.
The instructor, Richard Morgan, has been executive director of national and international nonprofit organizations and agencies. He has held high-level positions in development and fundraising and has taught at several Ohio colleges and universities.
Participants will receive a 100-page manual to guide them through the grant writing process and will be awarded a certificate for .5 CEU's upon successful completion of this workshop.
The cost for the workshop is $75 and includes lunch, materials, instruction and a CEU certificate suitable for framing. University personnel and students are encouraged to attend.
"In these difficult economic times there are so many people who would like to apply for grants, but don't know how to get started. We hope to demystify the process in this workshop," said Lisa Dael, program coordinator for Community and Professional Programs.
