ATHENS, Ohio -- Red Green's "Duct Tape Forever" movie is coming to theaters in Ohio. WOUB-TV and TVA International will present two showings of the movie "Duct Tape Forever," originally only released in Canada.
The first presentation will be Sunday, Feb. 2 at noon at The Regal Cinemas in the New Philadelphia New Towne Mall. The second presentation will be Saturday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. at The Athena in Athens.
In March 2002, WOUB/WOUC-TV aired a live Red Green pledge program during the annual March Marathon Membership Campaign. The station promised viewers a chance to see Red Green's original motion picture if the campaign goal was met. WOUB/WOUC-TV placed in the top 15 PBS stations from across the nation and now Red Green's "Duct Tape Forever" is available.
The movie follows the zany Possum Lodge crew as they struggle to raise $10,000 to prevent their lodge from falling into the hands of evil land baron Robert Stiles. To do this, the boys must win third place in the Minneapolis duct tape sculpture contest with their mammoth rendition of a giant goose.
