ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University students can compete for prizes in ping pong, euchre and pool weekly tournaments during winter quarter in the Baker University Center Rec Room.

Ping pong tournaments are every Tuesday at 7 p.m., with the first place winner receiving a free lunch at the Corner Cafe and the runner-up receiving a beverage from the Front Room.

Euchre tournaments are Wednesdays at 7 p.m. First prize includes two movie passes to the Athena theater and the second prize is two beverages from the Front Room.

Pool tournaments are every Thursday at 7 p.m. First prize is free lunch at the Corner Cafe and the second-place winner will receive a beverage from the Front Room.

All Ohio University students are eligible to participate, student organizations are encouraged, and participants should arrive 10 minutes early to sign in. Free snacks and refreshments are provided.

"The free activities should be great events during winter quarter. They're a great way for students to meet people with similar interests from different areas of campus," said Shanna Grant, Baker University Center marketing coordinator.
