ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 1 in observance of the national New Year's Day holiday.
This closing includes all regional campuses, as well as the College of Osteopathic Medicine and all branches of the University Osteopathic Medical Center. All five sites -- UOMC-Parks Hall in Athens, UOMC ENT/Allergy on Richland Avenue in Athens, UOMC-O'Bleness in Athens, UOMC-Coolville and UOMC-Nelsonville -- will be closed. The university will reopen Thursday, Jan. 2, operating under normally scheduled hours -- 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. University residence halls open for winter quarter on Sunday, Jan. 5, at 9 a.m. The Registrar, Bursar and Housing offices will be open with limited services from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Classes begin Monday, Jan. 6.
