ATHENS, Ohio -- While most of us will be spending the Thanksgiving holiday among family and friends stuffing ourselves with turkey, the Ohio University Marching 110 will be traveling to Orlando, Fla., for three performances.
Band members will arrive in Orlando on Thanksgiving and spend the next day, Friday, compliments of the Walt Disney World, relaxing and tooling around the amusement park.
The first performance of the weekend for "The Most Exciting Band in the Land" is a parade in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, 7:40 p.m., Friday, Nov. 29.
Saturday, Nov. 30, the Marching 110 will perform during the Ohio University at Central Florida game and then head to Jacksonville for their seventh appearance at a professional football game, the Dec. 1 Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Pittsburgh Steelers contest.
