WOUB Radio Network seeking community volunteers
ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University Public Radio, the WOUB Radio Network, invites community groups and individuals to get involved in the Annual Fall Radio Membership Campaign. Community members are encouraged to be a part of this exciting event and to come to the radio studios and celebrate. WOUB Radio provides communities with the best in music, regional news, and information -- programming not found anywhere else. Featured programs include "Live from the Fur Peace Ranch," produced by Rusty Smith, airing Sundays, Oct. 14 and 28 at 8 p.m., "A Prairie Home Companion" with Garrison Keillor, airing Saturdays at 6 p.m., and "Below the Salt" with Keith Newman airing Sunday mornings at 8 a.m.
The Fall Radio Membership Campaign will run from Friday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Oct. 21. Volunteers will be needed for two to three hour shifts on weekends and weekday evenings. To make your pledge of support before the drive begins, community members may do so on the secure Web site, woub.org/membership.

The Ohio University Telecommunications Center, a unit of the College of Communication, operates two television stations -- WOUB-TV/Channel 20 in Athens and WOUC-TV/Channel 44 in Cambridge; one cable channel -- WOUB II; and six radio stations -- WOUB-1340 AM, WOUB-91.3 FM, WOUC-89.1 FM, WOUH-91.9 FM, WOUL-89.1 FM and WOUZ-90.1 FM.
