ATHENS, Ohio -- Former Bobcats Marcy Keifer-Kennedy, Eric Kimble and Holly Skeen-Gilbert will be inducted into the Ohio Athletics Hall of Fame Friday, Director of Athletics Thomas Boeh announced today. The Class of 2001, a former swimmer, wrestler and women's basketball player, brings the number of members to 216, since the Hall was started in 1965.
The trio was selected this summer after nominations from Ohio fans, alumni and former athletes and coaches. The selection committee votes on the nominees, choosing up to five each year.

Marcy Keifer-Kennedy
Swimming, 1989-93
Earned All-America honors as a freshman and sophomore... Was a member of the 400 Medley Relay team that took All-America honors in 1990... Swam the anchor leg on the 1991 200 Medley Relay team that set a Mid-American Conference Championship record (1:44.41)... Opened the same event the following year and earned another title (1:45.70)... Joined teammates to win the 400 Medley Relay in 1992 (3:49.41)... Won the MAC 100 Backstroke title in 1990 with a then-record time of 57:79... Repeated the title in 1993, swimming 56.13, just .02 off the conference mark... Won the conference title in the 200 Backstroke in 1993 with a time of 2:01.63... Held school records in 100 Backstroke, 200 Medley Relay and 400 Medley Relay at conclusion of her career... Graduated in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development.
Eric Kimble
Wrestling, 1990-95
One of the greatest wrestlers in the history of Ohio University... Was a three-time All-America selection (1992, 1994, 1995)... Finished fourth at the national meet in 1995 and seventh in 1994... Captured Mid-American Conference Championships at the 134-pound category as a freshman, junior and senior... Named Outstanding Wrestler at the 1994 and 1995 MAC Championships... Won the West Liberty Invitational three straight seasons and the West Virginia and Wilkes Invitationals twice... Received Honorable Mention Academic All-America and Academic All-MAC honors... Graduated in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
Holly Skeen-Gilbert
Women's Basketball, 1991-95
A four-year letterwinner for the women's basketball team... Ranks fifth on the all-time scoring chart with 1,196 points... A two-time All-Mid-American Conference selection... Named to the first team as a senior and the second team as a sophomore... Earned honorable mention as a freshman... Averaged 11.1 points per game over four seasons... Hit 436 field goals, placing her seventh all-time... Is ninth with 885 attempts... 621 rebounds and per-game average of 5.8 rank sixth and ninth on the career charts, respectively... Also stands third in the record book for career free throws (323) and second in career free throw attempts (467)... Is the school's all-time leader in blocked shots with 115? Has the second and third-best seasons in school history... Swatted 44 shots in 1993-94 and 42 shots the following year... An Academic All-Mid-American Conference selection as a senior... Graduated in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in Special Education.
