ATHENS, Ohio --The Ohio Athletics Department will host its annual Choose Your Seat Day for Bobcat football this Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Peden Stadium. All seats that have not already been purchased by season-ticket holders will be visibly marked, meaning fans will have the chance to choose their exact location for the 2002 season.

"People like to make decisions for themselves, and that's what this event is all about," said Shelley Binegar, Ohio Athletics director of ticket operations. "Fans can compare seats in various parts of the stadium to determine where they can best enjoy the games."

Ticket office personnel will be on hand to answer questions and assist customers. Season tickets range from $45 to $55 for the five contests.

The event is part of a big day at Peden Stadium. The football team will hold its final scrimmage of the preseason from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., with fans being allowed to enter for the final 30 minutes to gain a sneak peak at the players and coaches. The Green and White Club will be hosting its annual Ox Roast that evening to honor participants in the fall sports of football, volleyball, field hockey and soccer. Members and prospective members are invited to come out and enjoy dinner with the athletes and coaches.
