ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio University Alumni Association is pleased to announce its award recipients for 2002.
The awards are bestowed each year upon graduates and friends who have distinguished themselves in their professions or in outstanding service to the university. The awards embody the university's pursuit of excellence, value of tradition and belief in strong leadership.
Award nominations are received from alumni, faculty, staff and friends throughout the year. The Ohio University Alumni Board selects the recipients, with awards presented during Homecoming festivities.
Alumnus/Alumna of the Year
Awarded to the most distinguished Ohio University alumnus/a. Nominees must have previously received the Medal of Merit Award or Distinguished Service Award to qualify.
Medal of Merit Award
Awarded to alumni who have achieved distinction in their chosen fields.
