ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University will be closed Thursday, July 4, in observance of the national Independence Day holiday. The closure includes all five regional campuses, the College of Osteopathic Medicine and all branches of the University Osteopathic Medical Center. All six sites -- UOMC-Parks Hall in Athens, UOMC ENT/Allergy on Richland Avenue, UOMC-O'Bleness in Athens, UOMC-Coolville, UOMC-Nelsonville Square, and UOMC-Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville -- will be closed. The university will reopen Friday, July 5, operating under normally scheduled hours (7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
