WOUB/WOUC-TV's local series intouch to feature Randall Kennedy
ATHENS, Ohio -- WOUB/WOUC-TV will air a special edition of intouch,
featuring Randall Kennedy, on Saturday, May 25 at 6 p.m. The episode will be hosted by OU Theater Professor Charles Smith. He will be joined by Kennedy in an open forum.
The two will discuss racial profiling in the aftermath of
September 11. Kennedy, a professor of law at the Harvard Law School, often speaks on subjects of race, crime and the law. He has spent a significant amount of time and effort addressing the issue of racial equality in America. Since September 11, race relations in
America have taken on a whole new dimension. Kennedy authored the much talked about book, "Nigger: The Strange Career of a Troublesome Word."
