ATHENS, Ohio - On Monday, May 6, the Voinovich Center for Leadership and Public Affairs dedicated two newly renovated buildings on The Ridges that house key programs of the center.
Ribbon cutting ceremonies at buildings 21 and 22 included remarks from President Robert Glidden, Sen. George Voinovich, state Rep. John A. Carey, Jr., U.S. Congressman Robert Ney, Joy Padget, director of the Governor's Office of Appalachia, and David Wilhelm, senior policy fellow at the center, among others.
After the ceremonies, guests and media toured the new buildings and attended a luncheon reception.
The Voinovich Center is devoted to public service, leadership, entrepreneurship and scholarship in southeastern Ohio and statewide.
