ATHENS, Ohio -- The Office of Public Occasions and the university need your help.

Administrative Contract Staff are needed as volunteers for this year's annual commencement ceremonies on Friday, June 7, (graduate) and Saturday, June 8, (undergraduate). Currently, they are running twenty short on Friday, thirty short on Saturday morning and thirty-seven short on Saturday afternoon. The three available time slots are Friday, 8 a.m. to noon; Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon, or 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided for those who volunteer for both shifts on Saturday.

An orientation and training session for all volunteers and staff will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 6, at the Convocation Center.
