ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine will observe its "Most Valuable Players" Day Wednesday, May 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., on the Irvine Hall Bricks at Ohio University.
"MVP" Day is the college's official classified staff appreciation day. The college's classified staff includes secretaries, medical technologists, transcriptionists, nursing staff as well as other support staff. This year's MVP Day theme is "It's a Garden Party," which will feature a luncheon buffet, door prizes and a grand prize drawing.
Former OU-COM Associate Director of Admissions Mark Notestine, Ph.D., will deliver the keynote address for this year's program. Notestine is currently assistant vice president for health sciences and executive director of the Ohio State University Medical Center Office of Alumni Affairs. OU-COM Dean Jack Brose, D.O., will open the program by thanking employees for their accomplishments during the past year.
The program culminates with a drawing for the grand prize. The grand prize is a trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., which is made possible through the generous donations of Document Solutions-Xerox, Sole and Bloom Realtors, Equitrac and Career Connections.
OU-COM's Office of Human Resources sponsors this event.
