WOUB radio program to host on-air discussion of "Spring Break: On the Road"

ATHENS, Ohio -- The end of winter quarter is quickly approaching, and Spring Break is just around the corner. But how do students manage to avoid the scams while keeping the trip on a college budget? How is travel different since the September 11 tragedies, especially to such foreign spots as the Bahamas or Cancun?

The topic of Spring Break will be discussed on WOUB II, channel 25, on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 8 p.m. on InterACT Athens. Ohio University Student Senator Mattie White, an Ohio University Admissions representative and former Multicultural Programs Coordinator for the College of Communication Ivy Crockron will be on the show to answer questions sent in by phone, e-mail or instant messenger. This is an opportunity for members of both the campus and Athens communities to talk about their fears and questions on this issue.

InterACT Athens is a weekly student-produced, call-in talk show on important issues facing Ohio University and the Athens community. The show airs live on WOUB II Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. and are re-aired on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.
