ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 24 and 25 in observance of the national Christmas holiday. Although Christmas Day is Tuesday, Dec. 25, the university operates under a floating holiday schedule and will be closed Monday, Dec. 24, as an observance of Presidents Day.
This includes all regional campuses, as well as the College of Osteopathic Medicine and all branches of the University Osteopathic Medical Center. All five sites -- UOMC-Parks Hall in Athens, UOMC-O'Bleness in Athens, UOMC-Coolville, UOMC-Nelsonville Square, and UOMC-Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville -- will be closed. The university will reopen Wednesday, Dec. 26, operating under the winter schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Only the university's Child Development Center and Internal Audit office will remain closed until Jan. 2.
