ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University President Robert Glidden will introduce Stephen J. Kopp, who was recently appointed provost at Ohio University, to the campus community and news media at 3:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in Cortland Anderson Auditorium, 111 Scripps Hall. This will offer an opportune time to meet with the incoming provost before he begins his new position at Ohio University on July 1.

Kopp is currently dean of the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Mich.

Gary Schumacher has been interim provost since July 1, replacing Sharon Brehm, who resigned to take the positions of chancellor of the Bloomington campus and vice president for academic affairs at Indiana University.
