ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University has announced the dates of winter quarter Family Weekends for the 2001-02 academic year. Dads Weekends will be Jan. 18-20, 2002, First Year Parents Weekend Feb. 8-10, 2002, and Siblings Weekend Feb. 22-24, 2002.

Family Weekend events for the academic year begin with Parents Weekend activities Friday through Sunday, Sept. 21-23. The weekend offers an opportunity for Ohio University parents and students to spend time together and enjoy a fall weekend on campus.

Parents Weekend is the first of several Family Weekend events planned for the 2001-02 academic year. "These occasions capture the family atmosphere that exists on campus," Dean of Students Terry Hogan said. "They offer students an opportunity to share their college experience with their parents."

• Parents Weekend, Sept. 21-23, 2001
• Dads Weekend, Jan. 18-20, 2002
• First Year Parents Weekend, Feb. 8-10, 2002
• Siblings Weekend, Feb. 22-24, 2002
• Moms Weekend, May 3-5, 2002
