BAKER AWARDS: DEADLINE - JANUARY 16, 2002 (BAKER)
The Baker Awards Committee (BAC) invites proposals for support of research,
scholarly and creative activities at Ohio University. All tenured and
tenure-track members and full-time continuing administrative staff at all
Ohio University campuses are eligible to submit proposals in any field of
study. The scholarly, technical or artistic merit of the proposed project
is the primary criterion for evaluation. Proposals for projects that are near
completion and can hopefully be brought to full completion are
especially welcome. ALL PROJECTS ON WHICH PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE ARE
ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION. Requests for funds to initiate projects are
more appropriately directed to the Ohio University Research Committee
(See Below). Awards will not exceed $10,000.
It is important that CURRENT guidelines be followed when preparing a
proposal to the Baker Awards Committee. Guidelines can be obtained at

OURC AWARDS: DEADLINE - JANUARY 31, 2002 (OURC)
The Ohio University Research Committee (OURC) invites proposals for support
of research, scholarly and creative activities at Ohio University. Faculty
and contract administrative staff at all Ohio University locations are
eligible to submit proposals in any field of study. [OURC awards are
primarily for Group I and Group II faculty and full-time permanent contract
administrative staff. Grants to Group II and Group IV faculty will be
considered by the Committee in exceptional cases (contact the OURC Chair
prior to submission).] FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE AS SEED MONEY FOR NEW PROJECTS
AND SUPPORT OF OTHER PROJECTS WHERE NO OTHER FUNDING IS AVAILABLE OR WHERE A
SPECIAL FUNDING NEED HAS DEVELOPED. Priority is placed on supporting
faculty who are new to Ohio University. For projects on which progress has
been made, investigators should consider an application to the Baker Awards
Committee (See above). Awards will not exceed $8,000.
