ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University's Classified Senate announces that Julie McCune has been named the non-bargaining Classified Employee of the Month for October 2001. McCune, who has worked for Ohio University for more than 23 years, is the administrative assistant for Baker Center Dining Services.
Mary Jones, associate director of BCDS, nominated McCune for the honor. "Hectic is the word for Julie's office," she said. "She has to go beyond the call of duty on a daily basis. We never know what will happen next and it takes everyone working together, but she always has a great attitude."
When asked what makes her most proud of Ohio University and her job, McCune responded, "I am proud to work for Baker Center Catering because of its fine reputation and success. I take pride in the fact that I have a part in making it all happen."
McCune's other accomplishments include an Associates Degree in Police Science and Corrections from Hocking College.
