ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio Association for Developmental Education (OADE) is proud to present a distinguished panel of experts to discuss the problems and possibilities posed by the recent Ohio Supreme Court's Decision on the funding of public schools.
Panelists include Ohio Board of Regents President Jeannette Grasselli Brown, Ohio University President Robert Glidden, Washington State Community College President Carson K. Miller and Ohio University Distinguished Professor of Journalism Guido Stempel. These experts will discuss the impact of the high court's recent decision on school funding, the contradictions in public support of tax increases as measured in public opinion polls, and possible ways Ohio's educational institutions, from high schools through universities, might improve cooperation to provide broader opportunities to Ohio students.
The panel discussion is free and open to the public and will take place on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Ohio University Inn Ballroom on Richland Avenue. The panel will take place in conjunction with OADE's annual conference to be held Oct. 31 to Nov. 2.
