Ohio University's Emeriti Park is Dedicated

Ohio University dedicated Emeriti Park, a four-acre site on South Green that honors the university's former faculty and staff members, on Monday, Nov. 20. Participating in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the park's entrance are President Robert Glidden, Vice President for University Advancement Leonard Raley, Vice President for Finance and Treasurer Emeritus William Kennard, Vice President for Administration Gary North and Professor Emeritus Charles Carlson.
The entranceway is named for Kennard, who retired in 1997 after 31 years of service with the university. The park includes a pond, flowerbeds, benches, trees, fountains and a waterfall. In the spring, a gazebo will be added to the northern edge of the park.
