ATHENS, Ohio (October 12, 2000) -- Ohio University Professor Timothy Sexton has been elected to a three-year term as the national secretary and treasurer of the Engineering Design Graphics Division of the American Society for Engineering Education, which promotes teaching, research and communication in all aspects and applications of engineering graphics.
Sexton, a professor of industrial technology in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology, has been a member of the organization since 1987. The society provides leadership and guidance to professors through conferences, courses and publications.
As secretary and treasurer, Sexton's responsibilities include managing the division's bills, taking and distributing the minutes and handling official member correspondence.
Sexton said the reason he joined the group is to promote effective teaching in engineering graphics at Ohio University.
