Volleyball Splits Again to Place Third
ATHENS, Ohio (September 6, 2000) -- Ohio University rebounded from a lackluster morning loss to Western Kentucky (15-8, 15-10, 15-2) by defeating Tennessee State 15-0, 15-0, 15-4 for a third-place finish at the IUPUI Invitational Sunday.
The Bobcats recorded just 16 kills in the opener and hit -.014. Freshman Laura Hageman and senior Kris Whitfield each recorded four kills.
The final game of the tournament took just 45 minutes. Ohio scored the first 41 points of the match enroute to the sweep. The Bobcats hit .305 and had 12 aces.
Hageman was named to the all-tournament team for her efforts during the weekend.
