Ohio Sports Network to Televise Three Bobcat Football Games
ATHENS, Ohio (September 26, 2000) -- The Ohio Sports Network television package debuts Saturday, September 30th when the Ohio Bobcats visit Western Michigan. It is one of three games that will be televised by OSN affiliates during the 2000 college football season. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. in Kalamazoo. The game will be broadcast on the flagship of the OSN, WOWK-TV 13 in Huntington/Charleston/SE Ohio. Other affiliates who will clear the game include Sport TV in Columbus, available on Time Warner and Insight cable systems, and WDRL-TV in Roanoke/Danville/Lynchburg, Virginia.
Two home contests will also be featured in the package. Ohio hosts Buffalo Oct. 7th at 7p.m. WOWK, Sport TV, and WDRL will air the game, along with WAX-TV 35 in Cleveland and WAOH-TV 29 in Akron. The game will also be cablecast throughout western New York on Adelphia Cable.
Ohio's home contest against Marshall on Nov. 18 at 4 p.m. wraps up the package and the season. The Battle for the Bell will air on WOWK, Sport TV, and WDRL, along with WVSX in Beckley, West Virginia and WVFX in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
Ohio's game November 4th at Miami is scheduled to be televised as well, as part of the Mid-American Conference's syndicated package.
