Jerrie Allman Named Ohio University Classified Employee of the Month

ATHENS, Ohio (May 30, 2001) -- Ohio University's Classified Senate announces that Jerrie Allman has been named the non-bargaining Classified Employee of the Month for May 2001. Allman is clerical coordinator for Transportation Services and has worked at Ohio University for twenty years.
Kim Wortman, Interim Director for Campus Services, nominated Allman. "She is an asset to Transportation Services as well as Ohio University. Jerrie is without reservation dedicated, hardworking, customer-service oriented, honest, loyal, dependable and totally qualified for this award," he said. Along with her job duties of scheduling university vehicles, Allman was also instrumental in assisting with the implementation of the campus shuttle program and making it what it is today.
Allman's photo and award information is posted on the Classified Senate website at www.ohiou.edu/csen/eotm.htm and will be sent to her planning unit head for prominent display.
This monthly award is made based on nominations submitted by members of the university community for any non-bargaining unit, classified employee who is setting standards for excellence and innovation by promoting unity, community, continuity and visibility. Award winners show outstanding individual achievement, contribution, innovation and performance of their jobs.
