Sharon Lenthe Named Classified Employee of the Month

ATHENS, Ohio (April 25, 2001) -- Ohio University's Classified Senate announces that Sharon Lenthe has been named the non-bargaining Classified Employee of the Month for April 2001. Sharon is a financial aid specialist at Ohio University's Zanesville campus, who will celebrate her 20th anniversary as an Ohio University employee in November.

Mary Beth Robinson, the educational media center coordinator who nominated Lenthe says, "Sharon always meets the needs of the Office of Student Services with absolute professionalism. She is genuinely interested in the students she serves and is dedicated to OU-Z."

Lenthe received her bachelor's degree in 1997 and was listed in "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities." She also chaired the campus search committee for the assistant director of Student Services.

Lenthe's photo and award information is posted on the Classified Senate Web site at http://www.ohiou.edu/csen/eotm.htm and will be sent to her planning units head for prominent display.

This monthly award is based on nominations submitted by members of the university community for any non-bargaining unit, classified employee who is setting standards for excellence and innovation by promoting unity, community, continuity and visibility. Award winners show outstanding individual achievement, contribution, innovation and performance on their jobs.
