Ohio University Professor to Screen Documentary on Croatian Elections

ATHENS, Ohio (April 18, 2001) -- Athens area film enthusiasts will have the opportunity to take in a documentary feature by Ohio University Eminent Professor of Film Rajko Grlic at 7 p.m. April 19 at The Ridges Auditorium.
"Croatia 2000 -- A Winter to Remember," which Grlic co-directed with Igor Mirkovic, chronicles the dramatic political events that followed the death of former Croatian President Franjo Tudjman and led to the election of current President Stipe Mesic.
A panel discussion after the screening will feature the filmmakers, historians and Diana Plestina-Racan, professor of political science at Wooster College and the wife of Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan.
