If you've been thinking about staying in Athens and taking a few classes during the summer, now is the time to act. Registration for Summer Sessions began April 2 via TRIPS or online.
Ohio University offers two five-week summer sessions running from June 18 through July 20 and July 23 through Aug. 24. Many classes and special programs are offered in convenient, flexible formats and time frames to suit busy schedules -- in addition to the more traditional daily class meetings, there are online classes; weekend classes; one, two and three week classes; and study abroad programs. Summer Sessions Director Pam Brown said "It's the best way to learn under the sun: classes are small, the atmosphere is relaxed and informal, and you have plenty of time to enjoy other activities once classwork is done."
There is no priority registration for continuing Ohio University students and visiting students from other institutions and newcomers to college are welcome. For the complete class schedule, information on special programs and workshops, registration forms, housing information, general information and more, please see the official Summer Sessions Web site at www.ohiou.edu/summer. Printed class schedules also are available on campus in Chubb Hall and Tupper Hall.
Contact the Summer Sessions office by emailing summer.sessions@ohiou.edu or phoning (740) 593-2583 or 1-888-551-6446. We'd love to hear from you. Summer Sessions at Ohio University -- it's a bright idea!
