ATHENS, Ohio (March 22, 2001) -- Ohio's Mid-American Conference-opening series with Central Michigan this weekend will undergo some schedule changes due to projected weather, Head Coach Joe Carbone announced today.

The Bobcats and Chippewas have moved their scheduled doubleheader from Saturday to Friday, when the forecast is more favorable to play two games. Saturday and Sunday will now feature single games.

The Bobcats stand 6-7 overall, including 3-3 on the current homestand, while the Chippewas enter the weekend 9-7.

The revised schedule is as follows:

  • Friday: doubleheader (7/9) beginning at 1 p.m.
  • Saturday: single game beginning at 1 p.m.
  • Sunday (unchanged): single game beginning at 12 noon

All four games will be played at Bob Wren Stadium. Admission is $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for children under 17. University students are admitted free with ID.
