ATHENS, Ohio (February 14, 2001) -- Sherry Barnes has been named to the newly created position of director of transportation in Ohio University's Division of Facilities and Auxiliaries.
As the director of transportation, Barnes will oversee the university garage, fueling station, Bobcat Express shuttle and operation of the vehicle and bus charter services. She also will oversee budgets issues in these areas.
Before coming to Ohio University, Barnes served as the operations supervisor of transportation at Penn State University and was responsible for transportation services and a staff of 27 employees.
