Contact: Ricky Hazel, hazel@marshall.edu

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (February 13, 2001) -- The Marshall Athletic Ticket Office has fewer than 1,000 tickets remaining for sale to the general public for Saturday's Eastern Division Mid-American Conference showdown with the Bobcats of Ohio University.

The Thundering Herd (14-7, 8-5) and Bobcats (13-8, 8-4) are in the middle of the race for a first round bye in the Mid-American Conference tournament. Miami (12-12, 8-5), Akron (10-11, 7-5) and Toledo (15-8, 7-5) are all also in the hunt for the third bye into the tournament.

Central Michigan (17-4, 11-1) has a commanding lead in the MAC West while Kent State (16-7, 9-3) leads the Eastern Division.

Ohio took a six-point decision (77-71) from Marshall on February 3 at the Convo in Athens.

Before Saturday's game, which is scheduled for a 4 p.m. tip at the Henderson Center, the Herd will try to get back in the win column with a game at Bowling Green. The game is set for Wednesday night, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m.

For tickets to the Marshall-Ohio game this weekend, call the Marshall ticket office at 304-696-HERD or 1-800-THE-HERD.
