ATHENS, Ohio (February 2, 2001) -- Ohio University President Robert Glidden will be interviewed live on the Fox News Network at 1:30 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 2.

President Glidden will discuss yesterday's awarding of the Fritz J. and Dolores H. Russ Prize. The prize is one of the most prestigious in engineering and is funded by an endowment to Ohio University by the Russes, who are alumni of the university. On the Fox broadcast, Dr. Glidden may also discuss educational issues of national interest.

The remote interview will be broadcast from the TV studio in Scott Quad using the university's satellite transmission truck. Fox News Live deals with news makers of the day and is anchored by Linda Vestar, formerly of MSNBC, and David Asman from the "Wall Street Journal." President Glidden's interview will last from five to eight minutes.
