World War II Veterans Share War Experiences at Ohio University: A Recap

James Drumwright of Richardson, Texas, makes a point during a panel discussion involving World War II veterans at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, Friday, Sept. 22. Drumwright was part of the Allied invasion at Omaha Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Six former Ohio University students and faculty members shared their World War II remembrances. The panelists discussed their battle experiences, time spent in POW camps and overall perspectives on war before an audience of nearly 100 Ohio University students and area residents. (more below)

The discussion will be included in a program to be broadcast by WOUB-TV, the Ohio University PBS affiliate station, Nov. 9.
