Women's Indoor Track Comes Home Triumphant

GRANVILLE, Ohio (January 20, 2001) -- The Ohio women's indoor track team, led by Melody Royster, came home triumphant this Saturday. The women captured eight first-place finishes in the unscored Denison "Lid-Lifter" Meet against Denison, Duquesne, and Otterbein College.

Royster won the 55m hurdles (8.24 seconds), and tied for first with teammate Jana Dearth in the 55m dash(7.45 sec).

Other Bobcat winners included Jana Dearth (200m), Michelle Borsz and Martine Ward (high jump), Sheila Steinke (pole vault), and Foli James (long jump). The Ohio women also took the 4x400 and 4x200 relays.

The Bobcats are back in action on Friday when they travel to Findlay for the Alltel Meet.
