Welcome Students! Here's Some News You Can Use
We're glad you've decided to make Ohio University your home for the next four years (or if you're returning, we're just glad to see you). As winter quarter begins, you've got a lot to keep track of, so here's an abbreviated calendar with some information about this quarter's deadlines. We've also added some links you can use to help get the year started on the right foot (see below and left).
You can bookmark this page and use it as a reference throughout the coming academic year. Also visit the Current Students front door, which is full of links and fresh news you'll want to know about.
Thursday, January 11
- Last day for filing application and paying fee for conferral of degree on March 17
Monday, January 15
- Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 50% housing refund
- Martin Luther King Day (University offices officially closed; classes not in session)
- TRIPS and Web Registration not available
Wednesday, January 17
- Last day to register for Winter Quarter. Students who are in attendance by this date but fail to complete all registration procedures must pay a penalty for retroactive registration correction according to this schedule:
- September 20-29........................$ 40
- October 2-6................................$ 60
- October 9-13..............................$ 80
- October 16-20...........................$ 100
- Last day to add a class
- Last day to drop a class without receiving a grade (WP/WF)
- Last day to change college/major through your academic dean's student services office or regional campus student services office
- Last day to receive partial refund of registration fees (80%) for complete withdrawal from the University
- Last day to apply for pass/fail grading option through your academic dean's student services office or regional campus student services office
- Last day to change a grading option (credit to audit/audit to credit or pass/fail to regular grade option/regular grade option to pass/fail)
