Ohio University Closed December 25-26 for Christmas Holiday

ATHENS, Ohio (December 21, 2000) -- Ohio University will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 25 and 26 in observance of the national Christmas holiday. Although Christmas Day is Monday, Dec. 25, the university operates under a floating holiday schedule and will remain closed Tuesday, Dec. 26, as an observance of Presidents Day.

This includes all regional campuses, as well as the College of Osteopathic Medicine and all branches of the University Osteopathic Medical Center. All five sites -- UOMC-Parks Hall in Athens, UOMC-O'Bleness in Athens, UOMC-Coolville, UOMC-Nelsonville Square, and UOMC-Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville -- will be closed. If you would like information about the University Osteopathic Medical Center or wish to make an appointment, please call 740-593-1700.

The university will reopen Wednesday, Dec. 27,operating under normally scheduled hours.

Those of you who will spend the long weekend in the Athens area may wish to visit the Kennedy Museum of Art. They will be open Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. featuring the exhibits "The Intimate Collaboration: Prints from the Teaberry Press," through Feb. 4, and "Walt Kuhn: An Imaginary History of the West," through Jan. 28, 2001.
