ATHENS, Ohio (November 21, 2000) -- Ohio University's College of Health and Human Services has named Brooke Hallowell associate dean of research and sponsored programs.
As associate dean, Hallowell is responsible for facilitating faculty efforts in securing extramural funding and helping faculty develop their research agendas. She will help the college's faculty foster research productivity and quality, increase competitiveness for external and internal grants and contracts, and integrate education and service with research.
"This position represents an important element in the research infrastructure of the College of Health and Human Services," said Gary Neiman, dean of the college. "Her background as a researcher, combined with her personal qualities, will serve her well in this challenging position."
Hallowell will dedicate a portion of her time to the new position while continuing her work as an associate professor in the School of Hearing and Speech Sciences.
