Johnstone and Mazziotto Named Regional All-Americans

GLEN ALLEN, Virginia (November 12, 2000) -- Juniors Ali Johnstone and Lauren Mazziotto were named to the Astroturf/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Regional All-American team today in Glen Allen, Va.

Johnstone was named to the West Region's All-American First Team for the second consecutive year. Mazziotto was named to the West Region's All-American Second Team. Johnstone who is a three-time All-MAC first team selection is currently the school's career assist record holder with 27. She finished the season tied for eighth in the MAC and was second on the Bobcats with nine assists. She also led the team with 19 points.

Mazziotto led the Bobcats with 12 assists tying her for fourth in the MAC. The All-MAC first team selection was second on the team with 18 points. She recorded career highs in goals (3), assists and points.
