Ohio and Marshall to "Battle for the Bell"
Press conference set for Monday in Pt. Pleasant

ATHENS, Ohio (November 9, 2000) -- As the 2000 football season winds down, Ohio and Marshall prepare for their annual meeting in the "Battle for the Bell." In preparation for the season finale on Saturday, Nov. 18, the teams will meet for a preliminary press conference at the Lowe Hotel in Pt. Pleasant, W.Va. -- halfway between the two schools -- on Monday, Nov. 13 at 12:30 p.m.

Ohio coach Jim Grobe and selected Bobcat players will join Marshall coach Bob Pruett and members of the Thundering Herd to talk about the upcoming contest. Monday's event includes press conference and lunch beginning at 12:30 p.m.

The Green & White Club and the Ohio Athletics Department are teaming up to provide transportation to the event for Bobcat fans. Interested fans may travel on the charter bus to the event for $10 per person. The bus will leave from the Convocation Center parking lot at 11 a.m. Reservations may be secured by calling 740-592-5530.

Tickets for the Nov. 18 matchup are available for $12 through the Ohio Athletics ticket office at 1-800-575-CATS or 593-1300. The game kicks off at 4 p.m. at Peden Stadium and will be broadcast by the Ohio Sports Network on the following affiliates: WOWK-TV 13 in Huntington/Charleston/SE Ohio, Sport TV in Columbus, available on Time Warner and Insight cable systems, WDRL-TV in Roanoke/Danville/Lynchburg (Va.), WVSX in Beckley (W.Va.) and WVFX in Clarksburg (W.Va.).
