ATHENS, Ohio (November 7, 2000) -- The Mid-American Conference named four Ohio field hockey players to its All-Conference first and second teams this past weekend at the tournament banquet held in Athens.

Junior midfielder Ali Johnstone (Delta, B.C.) was named to her third consecutive first-team All-MAC. Also making the All-MAC team for the third consecutive year was junior back Lauren Mazziotto (Sewell, N.J.), this will be her initial first-team All-MAC, previously being named to the second team the past two years. Named to the second-team All MAC were sophomore midfielder Andrea Voros (N. Vancouver, B.C.) and junior back Brea Webster (Medford, N.J.).

All four players voted to the conference teams were key parts in Ohio's success during the regular season. Johnstone was a key in Ohio's balanced scoring attack. She was tied for the team lead with 18 points and was second on the team with eight assists. Those assists ranked her eighth in the conference. Mazziotto who has always been a solid defensive player broke out offensively this season, leading the team with 12 assists (4th in the MAC) and was tied with Johnstone with 18 points. Voros was second on the team with six goals and tied for third in points (15). Webster was one of the top defenders in the conference throughout the season. She started in all 20 games for the Bobcats, scoring her first collegiate goal and adding three assists.
