The Art Encounters program consists of workshops for children in grades 1 through 6. These workshops are designed and scheduled in conjunction with the museum's exhibition schedule.

Saturday workshops take place during the academic year. Each workshop includes a gallery discussion segment and a hands-on art making segment.

Information/registration flyers are sent home from all local elementary schools. Registration for the Art Encounters program is conducted by mail on a first-come, first-served basis.
