About the Book
In conjunction with Ohio University's Bicentennial in 2004, the Ohio University Press will publish a history of the University, featuring many illustrations, documents, and oral histories designed to capture the historical, cultural, and academic events that the University has witnessed as it has grown over the centuries from the first institution for higher learning in the Old Northwest to a university of international standing.
Invitation to Participate
In order to be as inclusive as possible, we invited alumni, faculty, students and friends of the University to submit memories of outstanding events, people, or places that defined their particular time at Ohio.
We were also interested in any choice photographs, letters home, or other special mementos that would be of interest in presenting the many stories of our University's rich history.
The target date for the publication of Ohio University Bicentennial Book is early 2004. It will be published and distributed by the Ohio University Press.
