The purpose of the Global Fusion Conference series, which began in 2000, is to promote academic excellence in global media and international communication studies. The conference is sponsored by a consortium of universities: the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, Ohio University, Southern Illinois University and Temple University.
Global Fusion 2012 is hosted by the School of Media Arts and Studies, Scripps College of Communication, and the Center for International Studies of Ohio University. The conference begins Friday afternoon October 26th, and ends at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday October 28th.
